Volunteer Opportunities

Individual Support Volunteer:

Volunteer opportunities are available to work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a home environment.  Volunteers will work under the supervision of Arc employees.  Activities include: assist consumers with games, puzzles, special interest events in the community.  A specific request has been made for someone to assist a consumer with literacy skills.

 

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age; fingerprinting and criminal background check will be completed. 

 

Volunteers to Plan Walkathon Fundraiser Event:

Do you have knowledge and skills planning an implementing fund raising events?  The Arc Gloucester is looking for volunteers interested in assisting on a regular basis with the planning and implementation of our annual Walkathon & Family Fun Day which will be held in the spring of 2011. 

 

Volunteers should have skills in the area of fundraising and planning of fundraising events.  Knowledge of community resources also helpful.

 

Child Care Assistant:

Provide safe and happy environment to children whose parents are attending child car training classes for the Family Intervention Program.  One Friday morning a month 10 am to 12 noon.  Agency staff need an extra pair of hands and a loving heart. 

 

Experience working with young children and children with special needs helpful.
