After School Program Supervisor

Provide supervision and assistance to children with development disabilities, challenging behaviors and/or intellectual disabilities in an after school program in Sewell, NJ.  Position is part time up to 25 hours per week (Monday – Friday 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm or 2:00 - 6:00 pm) during the school year depending upon the number of participants.  

Experience working with children (ages 5 – 21) with developmental disabilities and previous supervisory experience required. Valid Driver's License, High School Diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in the Human Services field or currently studying for one preferred.

After School Aide  

Provide supervision and assistance to children with development disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities in an after school program. Potential hours are from 2 pm to 6 pm Monday - Friday when school is in session and vary with student participation. 

Experience working with children (ages 5 - 21) with developmental disabilities a plus.  Staff employed at The Arc Gloucester must successfully complete the provided training within ninety (90) days of date of hire. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. High School Diploma or GED required

Direct Support Professional/Residential Technician

Provide support to individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities in daily activities ranging from personal care to developing relationships in the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Satisfactorily pass physical/drug screening
  • 1 to 3 months experience, training and/or education preferred
  • Nurse's Aid and/or nursing home care experience a plus.  

Our group homes are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.  

  • FT/PT Positions, Various shifts and days

Residential Director or Assistant Residential Director

The Arc Gloucester is seeking both a Residential Director and an Assistant Residential Director to work full time in a Group Home in Gloucester County.

  • A minimum of three years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • FT benefits package.

Day Program Technician/Tech Instructor

Full Time Monday through Friday at one of our several Adult Training Sites in Gloucester County working with men and women with developmental disabilities.  

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADL's) i.e. feeding, toileting, changing diapers. 
  • Provide consumers with recreational opportunities. 
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully pass a physical which includes a drug screen is required. 
  • Previous experience as a nurse's aide or training is preferred.

In-Home Respite

In-Home Respite Program and Saturday Drop-Off P/T, 15-19 hrs. per week (avg.); provide direct care services for children and adults with developmental disabilities either in their homes or in center based program; various days/hours based on the need of the families, with late afternoon, night and weekend hours being the most needed; must have access to reliable transportation and a valid Drivers license as travel throughout Gloucester County and HS diploma/GED is required; experience with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities a plus. 

Computer Technology Specialist

  • Part time 24 hours a week. Work in conjunction with an outside firm to ensure our computer system is running effectively and smoothly.
  • Microsoft Certification such as: A+ Certification and/or Network + Certification strongly preferred. 
  • One year of Help Desk experience including issue diagnosis preferred.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science/ related area or graduation from a technical school where technology was the curriculum focus. 
  • High School diploma or GED required.   

A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 40 lbs is required.

Camp Sun 'N Fun Jobs!

Camp Sun 'N Fun is owned and operated by The Arc Gloucester. It is located in a beautifully wooded rural section of Williamstown, New Jersey. The camp's charming, rustic atmosphere and diverse staff, including international exchange counselors, offers camping excellence for up to 45 campers (children and adults) each session. The camping season will run from 6/16/18 through 8/17/18 with a potential for an additional week through 8/24/18.  Positions available:

Assistant Camp Director (Live-In) - paid on a Seasonal basis.  

The person hire would be administratively responsible for the seasonal operation of camp and supervision of staff and campers. Assist in the planning, supervision and implementation of the entire camp program (pre and post camp). This includes scheduling, parental contacts/feedback, camper supervision, training and maintaining all camp policies, procedures, regulations schedules and programs.  Must participate and encourage camper participation in all activities, help maintain equipment and keep areas of camp in safe operating condition.  Maintain all camper notes and report any emergencies

  • Must work as a team in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities with varying levels of need.  

  • Must possess or be working towards a degree in Special Education or related field as well as have 2 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required and be 21 years of age.

  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Previous camp experience preferred.

  • Must be able to have fun and laugh often


Day Camp Supervisor - paid on a Seasonal basis.  

The person hired will oversee and manage the overall Day Camp Program.  They will be the liaison between the Day Camp Counselors and the Camp Director/Assistant Director.  The Day Camp Supervisor assumes the position of leadership and shall assist with any administrative duties as assigned by the Camp Director/Designee.  

  • Must work as a team in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities with varying levels of need.  Must be able to facilitate a spirit of teamwork among staff and to contribute in the achievement of the objectives of the Camp.

  • Must possess or be working towards a degree in Special Education or related field and or have a minimum of three years' experience.  Must have 1 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required and be 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to have fun and laugh often.


Program Director (Live-In) - paid on a Seasonal basis.  

The person hired is responsible to plan, implement and manage all aspects of the daily camp program.  To be the liaison between the Program Assistant, Program Specialist and the Camp Director/Assistant Director.  The Program Director shall assist with any camp administrative duties as assigned by the Camp Director/Designee.  The Program Director is expected to take over the responsibilities of the Camp as needed.

  • Must work as a team in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities with varying levels of need.  Must be able to facilitate a spirit of teamwork among staff and to contribute in the achievement of the objectives of the Camp.

  • Must possess or be working towards a degree in Special Education or related field and or have a minimum of three years' experience.  Must have 1 years' experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required and be 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to have fun and laugh often.


Residential Counselors (Live-In) and Day Camp Counselors - paid on a Seasonal basis.  

  • Must work as a team in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities with varying levels of need.  

  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Must be 18 years old or older and have a high school diploma or the equivalent. 

  • Responsible for the supervision and total care of campers assigned, including hygiene needs.  Assisting in developing, carrying out and participation in the daily programs.  

  • Must be able to have fun and get in the pool.  

Although experience is not required, it is helpful.  Ability to attend training is a requirement. 

Additional camp staff opportunities (weekends) available throughout the year.

If offered a position, all candidates must successfully pass a post offer physical which includes a drug screen as well as criminal and reference checks as well as successfully complete staff orientation training which includes but is not limited to Abuse and Neglect,  Danielle's Law, Exposure Control, Standard First Aid/CPR and Overview of Developmental Disabilities.
