Chief Executive Officer

Ana Rivera has announced her retirement after 27 years, with an anticipated date of February 2020. Qualified applicants will have a demonstrated record of success leading others, experience working with regulatory agencies such as DHS/DDD, success in fiscal management, and successful fundraising.  Minimum of Bachelor's Degree with a Master's Degree preferred in public administration, business administration, public policy, social work or a related field.  Five years of supervisory experience leading large groups of individuals in a decentralized environment.  Salary and benefits are highly competitive and commensurate with experience.  If you are interested in applying for this position forward a letter of interest, resume and salary requirements by September 15, 2019 to

Team Leader (of programs)

Manages multiple subordinate supervisors who supervise program employees in Residential Services, Adult Achievement Training Centers and/or Supported Employment areas.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.  Also may directly supervise non-supervisory employees.  Bachelor's degree in a related degree; and one to two years related experience and/or training required. Must have reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license with 5 points or less.  Must be flexible to drive to a program on short notice and available to be on and take administrative call rotation on nights and weekends. Satisfactorily pass physical/drug screening/criminal check which includes a CARI check.

 

Direct Support Professional - Residential

Provide support to individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities in daily activities ranging from personal care to developing relationships in the community at any one of our residential homes throughout Gloucester County.  Our group homes are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.  

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license with 5 points or less
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Satisfactorily pass physical/drug screening/criminal check which includes CARI
  • 1 to 3 months experience, training and/or education preferred
  • Nurse's Aide and/or nursing home care experience a plus.  
  • FT/PT Positions, Various shifts and days
  • FT Benefits include: medical, dental, life insurance, pension, and paid vacation/sick/personal time.  
  • PT Benefits include: paid vacation/sick/personal time

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Day

Full Time Monday through Friday at one of our several Adult Training Sites in Gloucester County working with men and women with developmental disabilities.  

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADL's) i.e. feeding, toileting, changing diapers. 
  • Provide consumers with recreational opportunities. 
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully pass a physical which includes a drug screen, criminal background check, and CARI is required. 
  • Previous experience as a nurse's aide or training is preferred.

Employment Specialist Supervisor - Individual

Provide job coaching to individuals we serve in individual placement that leads to employment and empower them to reach their fullest potential in accordance with their ISP.  Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, Psychology or related field, plus one year of successful experience in human services or employment services or graduated from an accredited college with an Associate's degree plus two years of successful experience in human services or graduated with a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience in occupational areas similar to those being offered at the program.  A combination of college and technical school may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.  Have a clear understanding of the demands and expectations in business and industry. Successfully pass initial and ongoing state/federal criminal background checks, CARI checks, Central Registry check and drug screens. Have and maintain a valid NJ driver's license with less than 5 points. Must have reliable transportation and proof of current car insurance if transporting clients in their vehicles. Have good written and verbal presentation skills.  Able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekends.

 

DSP-Employment Specialist – Group 

Provide employment services support to individuals we serve and empower them to reach their fullest potential in accordance with their ISP.  Provide a supportive environment for the individuals served working with our Crew.  An associate degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university is required; however, a high school diploma/GED with three years of related experience required will be considered, a BA degree is along with Employment Specialist Foundation training preferred. Position also requires an employment history that indicates experience working with people who are developmentally disabled.  Must be at least 20 years of age.

This training requires preservice training within ninety (90) days of date of hire as well as successfully completing Employment Specialist Foundations: Basic Knowledge & Skills or alternate training authorized by the Department of Human Services within 120 days, but not billed for Employment Specialist work during this initial period.

 

Employment Specialist – Individual - Part time  

Provide job coaching to the individuals we serve in individual placement that leads to employment.  Provide employment services to individuals we serve and empower them to reach their fullest potential in accordance with their ISP.  Provide a supportive environment for the individuals served.  An associate degree or higher in a related field from an accredited college or university is required; however, a high school diploma/GED with three years of related experience required will be considered, a BA degree is along with Employment Specialist Foundation training preferred. Position also requires an employment history that indicates experience working with people who are developmentally disabled.  Job placement experience preferred.  Prior training in employment activities, such as interviewing skills, job sampling and resume writing is a plus. Must be at least 20 years of age.

This training requires preservice training within ninety (90) days of date of hire as well as successfully completing Employment Specialist Foundations: Basic Knowledge & Skills or alternate training authorized by the Department of Human Services within 120 days, but not billed for Employment Specialist work during this initial period.

 

Residential and Assistant Residential Director

The Arc Gloucester is seeking both a Director and an Assistant Residential Director to work full time in a Group Home in Gloucester County.

  • A minimum of three years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required with 5 points or less.
  • FT benefits package.

 

Driver - CDL - Part-time 28 hours

Local driving of the indivudals we service to their activities and programs.  Responsible for ensuring passenger safety, the cleaning of vehicle and communication for the need for repairs.  A CDL driver's license with passenger endorsement required with 5 points or less.  Satisfactorily pass physical/drug screaming/criminal check chich includes CARI check.  

 

In-Home Respite

In-Home Respite Program and Saturday Drop-Off P/T, 15-19 hrs. per week (avg.); provide direct care services for children and adults with developmental disabilities either in their homes or in center based program; various days/hours based on the need of the families, with late afternoon, night and weekend hours being the most needed; must have access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with 5 points or less to travel throughout Gloucester County and HS diploma/GED is required; experience with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities a plus. 

 

After School Aide – Part time  

Provide supervision and assistance to children with development disabilities and/or intellectual disabilities in an after school program. Potential hours are from 2 pm to 6 pm Monday - Friday when school is in session and vary with student participation. 

Experience working with children (ages 5 - 21) with developmental disabilities a plus.  Staff employed at The Arc Gloucester must successfully complete the provided training within ninety (90) days of date of hire. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. High School Diploma or GED required

 

Administrative Assistant – Public Affairs/Development Departments (37.5 hours)

Exciting position working with our fundraisers. Must be proficient with Microsoft, general clerical duties, typing, organizational, computer skills, and must have previous experience with Word & Excel. Previous experience with websites, e-blasts, design programs, donor/volunteer/membership tracking databases. (Publisher, Donor Community, Social Media, WordPress, and Event Bright) a plus. Must be able to work evenings & weekends on a limited basis for event preparation and execution.   Minimum Education:  High School Diploma/GED.
